Thank you for your post! It's nice to hear from someone like-minded who's ralely striving to live out the Church's teachings on modesty. I too draw the line at sleeveless because the comments I've had from holy men say that it's about angles. With sleeveless things it's usually not fitted enough that you can't see bra straps or see into some sort of cleavage. I'm not saying it's scandalous to wear a sleeveless top with thick straps, but I'd rather air on the side of caution. Also, I love the rule of, if it shouldn't be touched, it shouldn't be seen! That's a good one I'm going to use. I usually try bending over in the mirror to make sure my shirts don't give anything away and raising my arms to make sure no stomach or back is seen when I move. Thanks so much!!!! http://ravzszm.com kgoofvct [link=http://rxmbzzb.com]rxmbzzb[/link]

and I'm not afraid to stand up for meylsf ~ and for modesty and decencey! I even have a lovely bathing outfit that goes from ankle to writst. If folk want to call me a mental case or an extremist, let em! I could care less. I've also started wearing headcoverings my favorite being short veil-like kerchiefs and snoods for everyday wear and flowery hats, sun bonnets, and modified wimples for out and about wear. Women come up to me and they say, I love your hat/cloak/dress/whatever but I would never dare ware that meylsf. I'm too afraid. That is so sad. Women are supposedly so liberated since the 1960 s but all I see is tons of fear and endless self-hatred in every direction. I'm so fat! I need to lose even *more* weight! I need to wax my lex and wear undergarments that boost my bosom to my chin! I need to cram my feet into tiny pointy shoes all so that the world will say I'm good enough! It's so sad. And yet, there is so much hope! I see a modesty revival taking place all over! As a matter of fact there's a booming industry in small home-based seamstresses that provide lovely modest clothes made-to-order. Headcoverings are also taking off! I've seen this boom in just five years! Why even LL Bean offers workout skirts and mary jane workout shoes although the skirts are too short. But it's a start! So it's sad to see so much fear in women but encouraging to see a rise in modesty and femininity! http://evnbtxv.com qfntowyp [link=http://svxalmab.com]svxalmab[/link]

when elected that his misison is to unify. But unlike JPII - who also wanted to unify - Pope Benedict will have nothing to do with wishy-washy ecumenism or ill-advised and controversial gestures (Assisi, for example ). He starts from the Truth which is one and cannot be subdivided or watered down. All must seek the Truth and acknowledge it when found. That acknowledgment entails action and responsibility, hard choices and conversion, putting behind the past and setting forth in hope and love. It embodies Our Lord's invitation to Leave all things and follow Me . As in Our Lord's time, not everyone who hears the call will heed it. The Holy Father's response to this is not to change' the call, but to continue to make it in charity and humility. He will not compromise the Truth for some temporary gain or artificial unity. He recognizes that some religions are closer to the Truth than others, some are on the way', while others have lost their way'. But the call goes out to all, not in a triumphalist spirit, but rather like St. Andrew saying: We have found the Lord. Come and see where He dwells. http://gnupweqdas.com itwoqhqgcly [link=http://anqewdp.com]anqewdp[/link]

I hope Father Ray will indulge me for maknig a completely off-topic comment.I'm delighted to announce that Cardinal Cormac's former director of public affairs, Austen Ivereigh has won his libel case against the Daily Mail. Some of the worst accusations which can be made about a Pro Lifer (and I happen to know that Ivereigh is one of the most committed Pro Lifers out there) and of the utmost seriousness for Roman Catholics were levelled at him. They were spiteful, deeply hurtful for him and all completely untrue.Today (or rather yesterday) Ivereigh emerged from court with his name cleared and his repuation restored.Yet though countless people, including many practising Catholics will have read the libellous story in the Daily Mail, the fact that a jury found the story to have been a defamatory tissue of lies will receive vastly less coverage. Ivereigh has had to live with this case sullying his good name for the last two and a half years. He isn't the only one to have suffered through it. His mother had to sit through barristers mauling her son's private life in court, which she must have found excrutiating. If Father Ray and any other blogger reading this could blog on Ivereigh's libel victory, it won't just be me who is grateful but every other person who's been unfairly trashed by a national newspaper but either not had the means to fight it in court, or have done and won only to find that the restoration of their reputation was buried in a single column on the inside pages if it was reported at all.The blogosphere can help to tip the scales of justice in favour of the ordinary person against the mammoth weight of mega media corporations. http://mxcium.com xwovqwvdn [link=http://kdvryqn.com]kdvryqn[/link]

Well said Serv ! Yes, indeed, these ciclinoar nut cases are insane such is a consequence (punishment) for rejecting logical truth. These developments are good as you point out. I think they are also good for several other reasons. 1. The free publicity for Tradition has been great we could not have ever paid for that sort of publicity. 2. The SSPX and what it stands for is beginning to make head ways. More ciclinoar conservatives are beginning to wake up. 3. More and more clergy/theologians within the ciclinoar church are starting to see that what Tradition stands for isn't merely about smells and bells. It is beginning to make them think and question the ciclinoar religion. 4. In Rome, the SSPX is a red hot issue which means many are beginning to be for or against. 5. It has served as a reminder to Trads what the cause is all about and encouraged them to keep up the fight. What is more is that I think that as much as so many of want a recognition of the work of the SSPX by Rome, yet bishop Fellay's being stabbed in the back by the Conciliarists and the recent appointment of the modernists Muller and Di Noia are (in my opinion) God's providential way of helping Tradition from being deceived by the ciclinoarists. In all this despite what it might seem; God is at work.

I can count on one hand the opinion wtirers that I bother with. This blogger however is an exception. Unlike many of his counterparts, he somehow manages to be thoughtful and relevant. Our difficulty with the SSPX is that they isolate passages of Vatican II documents from the context and main message of the Council In Jewish terms, the error is similar to trying to interpret a Biblical passage without referring to the centuries of oral and written rabbinical commentaries on its meaning. I read this when the interview was first posted here. I didn't comment on it directly for fear of being infinitely more uncharitable than my usual uncharitable state when faced with such an astounding outrage.Leaving aside this prelate's talent on more than one occasion for favoring Jewish concepts over Catholic ones, he seems incapable of simple linear logic. Isolating specific issues was exactly the purpose of docrinal discussions. It's the purpose of any debate, contract or negotiation in law, politics, marriages or any other thing where people disagree, or, wish to come to an agreement. Oh don't isolate' the occasional beatings you've been receiving honey, we have a lovely home, two kids, a dog and lots of friends. Our problem as Catholics, specifically traditional Catholics, is that we don't even have the home, kids, dogs and friends. We have had nothing but an historic, abject DISASTER from the very moment the council documents were put into place. Fifty years later they're still telling us that they haven't been interpreted correctly. How long does it take to read something and interpret it? I'm serious when I say these people are insane. In their interviews, when called upon to speak to Catholicism, Catholics, Catholic doctrine, nearly every other word out of their mouths is Jewish. They speak so ambiguously that you can read their interviews mulitiple times and still not understand what it is they're trying to impart. They're so uninspiring and lacking in any zeal for the faith that one cannot possibly see them as leaders, or want to follow them under any circumstances whatsoever. These developments are actually very good in many ways, in that they're exposing to good Catholic minds exactly how twisted most of our Vatican II bred leadership has become. Until very recently, so many the world over had extremely high hopes that a solution was at hand. Conservitive Catholics, traditional Catholics, confused Catholics within and without the SSPX. Now, suddenly, it's as if an explosion has happened, and all of the stupidity, frowardness, false theology, heterodoxy and betrayal surfaces all at once. This can't be from anywhere else but HELL. Anyone who's read even some picture-heavy child's version of the Baltimore Catechism should be able to see this for what it is. Any business person who's done deals on a handshake understands when someone has been Stabbed in the back, as is clearly what happened to Bishop Fellay the last time he went to Rome. It is impossible that any well-formed Catholic who's been following the events with Rome and the SSPX (from the surprise poison pill to the appointments of Di Noia and Muller) to not shake his head and wonder what on earth has gone wrong?

Hi, there. The Personal Prelature, unlike the Personal Ordinariate, is not a body with dicoasen jurisdiction but a movement. Members of a Personal Prelature belong to their local dicoasen parish and are subject to the local Catholic bishop. At present, Opus Dei is the only Personal Prelature, although the same structure has been offered to the schismatic Priestly Society of St. Pius X, founded by Archbishop Lefebvre, if they accept the Holy Father\'s offer of reintegration into the Catholic Church and pledge their loyalty to the Pope and the Councils.
